This is one of my favorites! Pierrette and Pierrot are characters from popular Italian theater in the 1500's and became a famous opera. Opera fans would buy buttons to commemorate their favorite opera. This antique Victorian picture button has a 3-D quality. The crescent moon surrounding the characters on stage is the iconic scene from the opera. 2 gold plated crystals dangle sweetly from the bottom.
